The lilacs are sooo pretty, my mum used to have a Lilac bush in her garden and the scent was glorious :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

The lilac flowers are so delicate, well worth the effort!

Finished the Lilacs square!

Image

I think I need to take a little time off on this. I feel like I'm pressuring myself to get this done too quickly and it's taking the pleasure out of it. So I'm going to spend a week or so working on some smaller things and have more fun with my stitching! I have one of those Sue Hillis pirate designs I'm dying to work on!

 :applesauce: great progress!! Love the lilacs!! I don't blame you at all for wanting to take a break from this one--I think you've more than earned it. How many more flower squares are left to do after the lilac one? The Sue Hillis pirate design sounds like a fun distraction too, which one is it?

Thanks! :D There are 10 more squares of flowers and a personalization square.

The pirate I have is for the kitchen. It's a skull and crossbones wearing a chef's hat and says "Burnt to Perfection" and has a little charm of a grill.

You do have a fair few to do then--but it's going to look so nice when it's done. Definitely time for a nice break, your pirate one sounds cute!! Can't wait to see it stitched up!!

Lovely lilacs! But yes I think it's very important you keep enjoying it, so if that needs a short break then that's what you should do!

Finally an update! I finished the stitching on this one last night and did the backstitching on it this evening. This one is called Rose Hips. Not as colorful or dramatic as some of the others, but I think it's still kind of pretty.

Image

For some perspective, these squares are 7" x 7".
