My Mum was a dressmaker and did sewing all her life as her job. So after she passed away, I stitched a Paula Vaughan design of a antique sewing machine with various sewing items scattered around. I then put her names in as well as a little bit of wording - In memory of our Mum - her names and then "Creative Hands Now At Rest.

Such great ideas on here.

My situation is a little different. My mother passed away last month and had over 30 unfinished/unframed projects. I am working on finishing some of her projects but had taken pictures of what she completed. I plan to have the photo of what she did on the back of the frame along with a gold label or something that says something like
"Stitched With Love by ------.
Finished in memory of my mom
------"

I sort of hate putting my name on the project but someone suggested the "finished in memory of my mom"

I may have to work on some of the projects you all suggested when I get some of these done and out of my hands.

Keagan, that is a lovely idea and you should acknowledge that you finished the project as well as all the work your mum put in..

Moose, have you settled on a design? They are all lovely suggestions. I just love daisies, so simple yet so lovely. I have seen a design of daisies and wild flowers, its from British Heritage I think.

Keagan, I think it's lovely to have something on the back which mentions both you and your mom, as a labour of love from you both!
