Look what I found!

Post by Sarah Gixxer »

I went into town yesterday and found Issue 76 of Cross Stitch Gold and it had THIS in it..............
Image

I couldn't resist such a stunning chart! It's by Joan Elliott. I hadn't treated myself to a mag for months. Then when I got home and read it I found last month's issue had THIS in it.........
Image

Sorry about the blurry photo, this one was only shown very small in the mag. What a gorgeous pair! Luckily this mag is on ebay for 40p so fingers crossed I'll win it - then the charts will be what I replace the Air Mermaid with when I finish her.

Sarah G: Wow! Can you imagine, how those two would look like, if you stitched them and put them on the wall side by side?

Great pics! :D
You know, it might be an idea to stitch them together on one piece of fabric, so it looks like a family group - that is, if they are not too big, and not too difficult to match up. After all, the background of both is very similar - they look as though they should be together. I think that is what I would try to do, anyway. :)

They are a great pair aren't they? I just got the issue with the Indian girl in it last week and love it--just a matter of finding time to stitch her up. I hope you manage to win that issue for a good price

Wohooo!! They are so lovely! Yes, very agree, I think the background could be combined together with some extra efforts. Good luck for your auction and congratulations! :applesauce: Can't wait to see it!!

Sarah, I have the mag if you want it. I bought it for the wedding set so as long as you don't mind that chart missing it is yours. Let me know if you would like it.

I forgot to update this thread although I PM'd Midge. Midge very kindly sent me the Indian Maiden chart  so now I'll be able to stitch the pair. They are stitched on 28ct hand dyed Jobelan in "Earth" which it seems I can only get from Polstitches. Anyway, I will be ordering some on payday. I won't be able to stitch both these on the same piece of fabric, they're about 10 x 14 inches each. I'll stitch both up though and then have them framed identically. Can't wait to get started!
