Designs from Solaria Gallery

Post by Zeb »

Hi everyone,
has anyone stitched any of the designs from Solaria Gallery?

I am interested in stitching this one:
http://www.solaria-gallery.com/gobelins/gob/d33.htm" target="_blank

But debating on whether I order the chart from them, or just buy it via PatternsOnline. The logical answer is PO, but I have this OCD complex about getting the "original" charts as the designers meant for them to be ^^;

The deciding factor for me then, will be how readable are their printed charts compared to the charts they sell via PO?

Unfortunately I can't advise you as I've never stitched their designs.

But I just want to say what a beautiful design. :wub: The others shown look lovely too. Must have been tough to decide. :thinks:

Hehe the decision was actually easier for me than you'd think. I am not a huge fan of stitching "humans" but the few designs I do have are quite exotic (two Lanarte ones of an Arabian lady and an African woman.)

This one popped because of how exotic she looked... plus one of the bloggers I follow had stitched her, so seeing the stitched version kinda clinched it for me.

Those Faberge eggs are the perfect palette for major metallic and beading mods.
"Evening in Venice" is gorgeous just as shown.

How perverse would it be to take "Christmas Lights" and change the candle to a Turkish lantern, remove the poinsettia and intall working LEDs throughout the design?

BUWAHAHAHAAAAAA.......

So far I have only used there free patterns and they are just like my PC Pro stitching pattern when I print them out. I don't know why they would be any different for there sold patterns. They are very easy to follow they are in color and code formate. The other option would be to send a message to the blogger that stitched the design and see what they thought.

I've wanted to do some of these patterns as well...some of the ikons would be nice esp for my mother in law...I also like the "Stitching the standard"...which I think is in the freebie section right now...
