Splendor of Floral by Sharon Pope

Post by Katiespark »

Does anyone have the March, April, May, and/or June installments of this series? If you happen to have any of the charts I could borrow, or know of a website where I can find them, it would be much appreciated! I know they were published in "Just Cross Stitch" starting in January of this year, but I don't have a complete set of issues.

Many thanks!

Hmmm...I have all those issues as I am planning to stitch it as well. You can get back issues online, but I only found the first two (Jan/Feb & Mar/ Apr) available here:

Maybe we can think of some way to work this out on the May/June issue? Let me think on it some!

Thanks so much for the great tip! After I posted last night, I also found this website:
http://justcrossstitch.epubxpress.com/ ... et="_blank

but haven't tried printing from it yet. How do you intend to start? Will you do all the borders first and then fill them in with the flowers, or do you think you'll do the flower blocks across in rows? I'm still pondering on this one for when I start...

Well, I have a UFO of a Prairie Schooler design that's somewhat similar; flowers with a border around each of them. On that one, I stitched the border as I went along from flower to flower and will probably do the same with this. If I waited to do the border last, I'd be afraid of miscounting the space between the flowers and messing it all up! Or I'd get bored stitching that one color for the border all at once! :D

You know, it's going to be awhile before I get to this project. If you start it and get to a part you don't have, let me know and I'll loan it to you and you can just return it when you finish. How does that sound? Unless you find all the issues you need online! :)

That would be fabulous! I've got Jan/Feb and July/August. Do you have March/April and (or) May/ June? If you don't mind sending them to me, I'd be happy to include a skein of the jade Caron Waterlilies when I send them back! :D

You've got a PM! I also picked up some of the Wildflowers (NOT waterlilies...) thread today - it's even prettier in person! One thing I have noticed about the flowers... if you look at the complete page with all 12 flowers on it, then compare it to the monthly installments, the borders don't always face the same way - specifically, check out the scroll in the middle top and bottom. WHY the designer did this, I'm sure I don't know. Now I've got to do all that reversing and checking and I just know I'm going to end up doing some :anotherfrog: over that. :?

Looking forward to my delivery! Thanks again!

Got your magazines - thanks again! I think I may just count and mark out the border areas with some basting thread and work on the flowers since those are the parts that I need to return to you. Buying the floss for these has been a blast - so many pretty colors!

Thanks again!

Hi, I saw that you had the Feb Issue for the splendor of florals and I was wanting to know if there was anyway you could somehow send the snowdrop pattern through email. I was wanting to stitch it in time for mothers day. If there is anyway that you can do this I would sooooo appreciate it! Please let me know if this is possible.

Thanks

No-one here will e-mail it to you as that would be a massive copywrite breach! It's possible that one of the members has the original pattern and no use for it and if so they will contact you.
Please be careful how you ask for things to be sent - thankyou.
Good luck finding and finishing the pattern in time for Mothers day.

I'm so sorry I didn't even think of the copyright breech. Yes I will be more carful in the future. Obviously I have not recieved it in time for Mothers day so I had to go with a plan b. If you or anyone you know might have those issues do you think I could possibly purchase them for a reasonable price?
