I agree that it looks beautiful just as it is without a mount!

lol, after sleeping on it, i decided it needed one. so I was at work, paul had to go to town to buy my b-day cards and some more bits and bobs in, so I sent him to the framers to get one. He's got to collect it on tuesday and it's "yellow-gold" I've not seen it  but he had professional help so it should be ok. it only cost £3.50 so it's not too bad.

thanks for the lovely comments. I LOVE backstitch so all the words wasnt too bad haha

I was going to suggest a golden color to tie in with the daffodils....

i got the mount, and I have to say Paul's done well  the guy on the stall also cut the mount especially for it. as paul took the poem with him the frame man saw it was a tall skinny piece so hes cut the sides a bit wider than the top and bottom. looks good

The postman bought me some more strong thread so I can finishe lacing it and try to get it in the frame.

i also put a 30 in the book at the bottom 3 on one page 0 on the other and 1 heart in the 3 and 2 hearts one above and one below the 0.

will post pics hopefully later but if not will be tomorrow at some point (its my 25th tomorrow so not sure when i'll get one here!)

Great work on the framing, and the mat is just the right colour! :applesauce: :applesauce:

it was all Paul, I was at work while he was choosing it, was a bit nervous as I hadn't seen it. but i know trust him to go and choose one on his own now @rotfl:

thanks all. im not happy the its higher on the right so i will take it out the frame at some point and try to tease it down a bit.
