Wedding bell

Post by minij »

This is a bell I made to hand to my DIL to be when she comes out of church instead of a horseshoe. I used cream and gold as that is the colour of the wedding invitations.

I love pinflair and have done quite a few different things with it. I am sure that your DIL will be thrilled to receive the bell and will treasure it forever.

That is absolutely stunning and such a lot of inticate work and beautiful stitching too. I am sure it will be treasured for all time.

I think it is a lovely idea to give something other than the horseshoe. I used to make a 2 hearts overlapping, wrapped in ribbon with hand made lace edging to give to my DIL.

How beautiful! And looks quite solid and well-made so likely to last much longer than the usual horseshoes

Fabulous! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce:

May I ask what this horseshoe tradition is? we don't have anything like that here.

When the bride is posing for photo´s it is traditional to present her with things such as a silver horseshoe, a tiny rolling pin, a little cardboard chimney sweep, black cat etc
