Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
With my own stitching II use a different colour highlighter for each days stitching and I just try to make a rough estimate of stitches that way. However when I am stitching for EQS, I have to keep a time sheet so they can tell the customers roughly how long the kits will take. I usually average around 11000/12000 a day

Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
I wouldn't be able to set daily goals, I just stitch for as long as I want. Sometimes it's more sometimes it's less. But I'm afraid if I set "goals" then I wouldn't enjoy it as much as I do

Happy Stitching,

Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
My main problem seems to be I start stitching and then find myself getting distracted by the TV and so don't actually get much done!

Oh, you are lucky then - our tv never has anything that would interest me these days.

Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
My goals are more about time. During university semesters, 15-30 minutes a day is what I try for. During the summer months, I aim closer to 3-4 hours a day. If that means I only get 2 stitches in, so be it. Progress is progress, right?

Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
I also count by hours. I try to do at least 1 hour a day of stitching. Im new to it again after a few years not stitching, so Im trying to get the hang of it again.
Also, I have never stitched anything big like lots of users I have seen here do! They are simply amazing. I have been looking at some HAED designs and there are a few I like. I just have to start collecting some threads before buying one I guess.
Right now Im stitching a princess for my daughters room. They are all over me to finish it. lol
Off topic, sorry.

wohoo...! What an awesome one! Very very organized..!kimkat_tkl wrote:I don't have a number of stitches that I try and reach each day (just try and do as many as possible) but I do update my stitch count spreadsheet almost daily.

Umm, I haven't made any stitching daily goals before but I think those kind of spreadsheet kinda motivating..! (but I don't think I would update it daily... lol)
Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
@Kerbear: You're definitely NOT the only one..
I'm a slow stitcher too..! LOL.
Btw, what's EQS? -as stated by dollystitcher- Is it a method to count stitching progress or what?

Re: Cross-Stitching Daily Goals
I was folding some t-shirts this morning and I saw this which reminds me of skitzzz' post about a stitch is a stitch closer to the finished project:skitzzzzz wrote:i dont have a goal, but i try now to stitch in the evenings, and depending on what iam stitching say 500 a day but any stitch is a stitch closer to the finished project so iam happy just to do any lol

This was my tee during my younger years and my son is now the one using it. I remember that I bought this for the design alone. Only this morning that I noticed what is written below/beside pooh and it brought a smile to me.
