I am sticking with this one, Susan your work is just stunning, you really shouldn't tempt me anymore, just one more photo and I am sunk! One thing as I am just thick! What is meant by your chart coming in parts?

SusanF wrote:Well stupidly, my next project has loads more beads (I'm a glutton for punishment, obviously  ). But I'm really excited about starting it :D :D :D It's my first Chatelaine design and called Frosty Knotgarden.

Image

It has some lovely silk floss including Gloriana, Caron Waterlilies and Silk N' Colours and lots of Petite Treasure Braid as you can see. There are also 14 little pots of beads :( :( The fabric is 32 count Belfast linen which I've never used before, so I'm not sure how I'll get on with it.

I was very impressed with European Cross Stitch who I used to kit up the project. Everything was delivered very quickly, the fabric is stitched all round the edges and the threads all came in their own Floss-Away bags. Really well presented and definitely a company I'll want to use again.

I'm really looking forward to getting started hopefully later on today

This is an amazing design and you are doing a beautiful design. You have more patience than me. I don't see myself doing anything like that. I can't wait to see how it looks finished!

Oh, I hadn't seen this thread before since I just joined last month. But I was searching "Chatelaine" and saw your gorgeous piece. It is just stunning and you're doing a fabulous job on it! Have you been able to work on it anymore since your
last update? Would love to see a new picture! :D

Susan, you have a LOT to answer for!!

I went for an idle browse on the European Cross Stitch site and clapped eyes on the Chatelaine mystery 2011 Christmas design. Next thing I know, I've signed up to the Yahoo Group with a view to doing this during 2011.
