Elle's Stitchery

Ok so i know its not really much to be updating with since it's a small-ish design (8 x 14 inch) it wont take me long to finish, but until my new charts arrive from the place i ordered them which could be weeks this is all i have to share, and i thought it about time i put a post of what im currently stitching :P

so here it is, i still have to add some writing along the bottom, and a little more of the design and a few french knots (his eyes and some berries on the holly in his sack) , this one will be a christmas gift when it is finished, and is a kit from Dimensions called "Christmas Spirit" :) the coverage isn't great in my opinion but it shows like that on the finished picture on the chart so i guess it was designed to be that way :roll: (yep i could have used more strands per stitch maybe but since its a kit and i have no stash threads i wouldnt have had enough lol)

Thanks all :)

The fabric on this one is described as 14 count fiddlers cloth, it's not as stiff as regular aida (in my opinion) i find it kind of stretchy so not sure i like the fabric from the sewing point of view but it fits perfect with the prim type style of the bear and such and is perfect for my friend who likes this type of thing, :wub:

anyway here is a latest update, didn't work on it much this week, i had a few days of dizzy-ness (no idea why..put it down to eye strain or something) so i thought it best not to sew for a few days ;)

all thats left to do now is, backstitch the little arrangement/leaves at the bottom, add some gold stars around the bear and underneath the "lives here" writing i add my friends family name to personalise the banner and the pattern provides an alphabet for that so thats good :D oh, and then attatch it to the wire hanger :]
