okay so I am not sure how to use this product or how long to let it sit after I have used it.
I got it as a surprise from Maggie in return for some stitchbow items. I haven't worked on a big project yet and am finally doing my bless this home and the edges are coming a part.
I have some tape that I can tape the edges with but am curious about the fray check anyone have any suggestions I think I am just going to tape this one b/c I know It won't mess up..and I don't want to mess up this fabric.
Just run a 1/8"-3/16" bead around the edges. An hour or two is usually long enough for it to dry. If it looks glossy after that time, lightly feel it to see if it's still tacky. Be sure to apply it on a cutting mat or hard surface that can be cleaned. Any residue left on the work surface can be cleaned with a common household cleaner or rubbing alcohol.
I've used tape and fray check. I love the fray check for larger projects that are going to get man-handled a lot before they are done. It's worked wonders. Unfortunately my last bottle got clogged up after I used it and now I can't get it unclogged so I have half a bottle unusable.

Tell you what's good for that. Stab it with your needle to see where the clog is and if that doesn't push it out, get a craft knife and cut the top of the aplicator off. Also, as fray check is water soluble, I've found that it doesn't matter where you use it as a damp cloth will get it off of most things. Or throw it in the wash.
I don't even bother leaving mine to dry. I just stick it on and get on with my stitching...although I do tend to come and read forums after applying it, so I do give it a few minutes I guess.
Cool, I would have never thought fray check can be used for the fabric for stitching. gotta go get my bottle from upstairs and try it on the aida cloth Im working on.
