Needles Changing Colors?
My needles are changing to a darker color as I use them -- is this bad? o_O I've known that you shouldn't leave needles in fabric for on periods of time because they can rust, but is this a problem?

Re: Needles Changing Colors?
it's just natural corrossion from the oils and whatnot in your skin. Mine do it. The only problem is that it will not glide through the fabric as smoothly as a new or fresh needle. It does not affect the stitching. I throw them away when they get like this. I have very acidic fingers/hands so I go through needles a lot.
Hope this helps you.

Like stitchiemon, I am also very acidic so I change needles frequently as they get corrosive hence won't glide with the fabric the way a new needle does. So when I buy floss and fabric for a pattern, I buy packs and packs of needles because of this problem.

Yes, I have the same problem although since I started using gold plated needles it's not so bad. They seem to last longer than regular needles.

I've very acidic too - my needles tarnish super-fast. Even the gold needles don't last all that long as the gold rubs off and then they tarnish anyway - LOL!

@Kell: wewww!!! The gold needle doesn't work?? (I just have a plan to seek for gold needle) Well I think I should just buy some packs of needles.
*I think I have acidic hands too!*
