I started this on the 14th September and thought that with so many (30+) shades of beige, brown and a few greens it would help keep me on track if I posted it on here!
I have been cross stitching on and off for about 20 years, but haven't done much for the last 5 years. I started stitching again in July after a friend showed me their new magazine, and am hooked again! Since July I have stitched two Hello Kitty designs for my 4 year old daughter and the patchwork owl design from the mag that re-sparked my interest! However, these 3 were all easy, blocks of colour and bright shades.
The Lookout is more my usual style. I love animal designs. So here goes, first post in Stitch-A-Long!

I forgot to add that I might not do all the meerkats! I've cut the fabric large enough to do the whole design, but might just do up to the one thats almost finished! i was hoping to finish this for my Mum's Birthday in December so time will dictate how much gets done! If it doesn't look balanced after the left hand side is finished, I'll do them all!

You've done a lot in a short time, too!
I like watching animal documentaries, and have recently seen some about meerkats. They are cute little things.
