Found a box in a just about perfect size today. I'll just have to take out its current contents and cover it with paper. Its current contents are chocolates...what a shame I'll just have to eat them! Oh it's a hard life! :D

Oh what we do for our friends! I'm such good friend I'd be willing to share that burden so you didn't have to do it alone

Faith, you are a wonderful friend and the very embodiment of generosity, but I really wouldn't want to put you to the trouble of travelling over here for such paltry reward, I'll just have to shoulder this burden alone ;)

Well, I was hoping to share the chocolates with Gray but he's feeling a bit under the weather tonight (I'm afraid I've given him my cold...well, my mother did always teach me to share...) so not really up to sweeties. So, who wants to come round and stitch and eat chocolates at my place? :D (I'm afraid they're not as impressive-looking as Midge's cupcake, but I'm sure they'll still be nice!)

Well, the new thread title says it all.

I cooked breakfast for Graeme this morning, gave him all his presents, then gave him the last extra-special present from me, which was this card...and he said yes :D The ring's too small for him, which I was expecting, but we're headed in to town later so can get him sized there and look at ordering one in for him. I don't know when the wedding will be because he's thinking of training as a solicitor, which will take two years, so possibly after that. We've got a lot of weddings coming up in the next couple of years anyway, one of which is in the States, so one big expense at a time is probably the way to go!

And can I add...I'm so over the moon! :cloud9:

Congratulations! I've just read this thread and love the story. What a great way to do things! Are you wearing your *new* ring today? And did he like the one you chose?

I am wearing my ring now :) he does like his, though it's the wrong size (as I expected it would be) but we've ordered the same one in a larger size and that should be in within two weeks and he didn't have a clue at all, it was brilliant!
