I'm looking for a chart (preferably -- or a kit if that's the only way I can get it) of a 1925 Austin Seven 'Chummy'. My husband inherited it from an uncle via a grandmother, and we went on our honeymoon in it. I'd love to stitch it as a birthday present for him but can't find any charts.
Oh, this is what a Chummy looks like (taken on our honeymoon):

I have but judging by other photos I've seen done that way it would be a humongous project -- I tend to get nervous at anything over 100 stitches square .
Hi Jilly, could you tell me what manufacturer (if that's the right term) these classic car design are by?
And are any of them 1920s?
Or a 1931 2-litre Lagonda? (Inherited via his other grandmother and at the moment looked after by a cousin because it is impossible to keep in a suburban street )
I noticed with some of these photo to cross stitch companies, that they will remove the background for you, or maybe you could crop out the part of the photo you wish and see if you could get a simple chart made up from that?
I've taken pictures of a picture (zoom in) before myself, it comes out ok if the original picture is good. So if you could do that even, and then maybe you could try and sort a chart yourself from one of these free download chart making programs?
There's nothing better than a good friend, except a good friend with CHOCOLATE! Forget love! I'd rather fall in CHOCOLATE!

Check out eBay. There are several folks that convert photos and I've gotten ones that are smallish in size, not huge. You may be able to work with them to get a conversion for you.
Oh wow, it's even just about the right colour! I think it's a bit earlier than ours but it's definitely close enough
I've been fiddling with that photograph and my cross stitch program and it just won't come out right, so i think you have handed me the solution I needed -- thanks!
