Can Anyone Help Me Please

Post by LynnBuck11 »

Hi I'm looking for a particular Christmas cross stitch, either the kit or the chart, it will be a gift for someone so I'm not sure about copyright but no doubt someone will tell me. I do know it isn't in active production anymore therefore my only option is either someone who has one and didn't stitch it or someone with a chart from it. I have mine from the first time around but owing to a house move it is in storage with no way of finding it easily and it could be there for some time.

It used to be called Santa's Wish List by Bucilla. I bought mine in 1997 and it was the first thing I ever stitched. It comprises a dark creamy beige aida, 14 count, which has a holly stitched border. The main picture is of a Victoria style Santa holding up a brass candle holder with a lit candle in it. The Santa has a sack on his back full of toys and in his hand is a long list with children's names on it. Around his feet are toys including a rocking horse, jack in the box and candy cane. If anyone can I help I will gladly reimburse the cost of the kit (if it is the kit) or pay for the chart and any postage incurred. I am in the UK myself.

Many thanks

For some reason, that sounds vaguely familiar. If I find it, I'll let you know. Just may be lurking somewhere close.

Thanks Kathi, I hope so. It would be a long story but it has very sentimental attachments. If you do find the chart/kit please let me know and if it is the right one I'll pay all postage if chart and obviously kit price and postage if kit.

Regards

Thank you so much for your help. It means a lot, there is a lot of sentiment attached to this design. It was the first cross stitch I ever did and my husband helped me alter the names on the wish list to include my two (at the time) grandchildren. My husband has since died and my older son (their daddy) would like to have the picture but obviously knows I don't want to part with my own due to its sentimental value. I've been looking for it for ages. He'll just have to wait until Christmas 2011 for it that's all as I'm current busy making Christmas cards for the hospice where my husband died. Thank you again. Happy stitching.

That is such a beautiful design, and to change the names is a fantastic idea. I ordered the book from amazon yesterday, but found the kit for sale on ebay this morning!

Hope that helps!

There are a couple of other kits for sale on ebay too.

Thank you Paula, the book arrived yesterday. The only problem is the chart is coloured in the book and I do prefer black and white charts if I can. It was the first cross stitch I ever did and at the time I only had two grandchildren. My husband helped me substitute their names for two others. He then sadly passed away (some time later) and my son, their dad would like a copy. I don't feel like parting with the one my husband helped me adapt and had almost given up hope of getting another.

Happy stitching
