I'm not sure I

Today was going to be my day off, as usual things had to be done first after all

but at noon I was free to get on with what I wanted to do

, and the first thing, or really three things, was finishing. Two fairly quick ones -- one a card (in my Hardanger thread) and one a coaster made with the Ink Circles design:
And then my Prayer hanger. I'm not very good at ornament/hanger finishings, I don't have any cord or have ever used it, but here's my version -- I made some mental noted for next time when I need to finish something like this, as it's not exactly the way I envisaged, but it'll have to do

.
I put wadding on a piece of card and folded the stitching round it, sticking it down (at the back of the card) with double-sided tape. Likewise light-green material (the stuff I used for the Kingfisher cushion) except I didn't use wadding there. Put a sheet of double-sided tape on the wrong side of the card covered in light-green, then stuck the two together.
Then remembered I wanted to sandwich the hanging ribbon between the two sides...
Very carefully teased them apart, measured where the ribbon should go, put it in, stuck everything back. Now the sides were a bit gaping but as I said I have no cord in my stash, so I used invisible sewing thread and just hand-sewed the edges together, pulling quite tightly to give a sort of lacy edge (like pulled thread work). This actually worked relatively well although it didn't turn out as regular as I'd hoped

:
and here is it seen at an angle to show the ribbon:
Here it is hanging from a key:
And here it is, right underneath my useless wireless adaptor

, next to my desk (also known as the office-under-the-stairs)
