Karen, I love the kitty on the sled. Great card - I can never find anything like that. And the tree is also very pretty.
Thanks Wandatoo--it was a free kit with WOCS magazine issue 171--wish I could find more cards like that but I know the person it's going to will really love it as she has 3 cats and doesn't stitch.

The blackwork sleigh was in World of Cross Stitching issue 156--it's loaded with designs--but that definitely was one of my favorite ones.
And Mabel, you are quite welcome--I think that chart is a great one!

I knew there would be more! I stitch some of these Christmas designs during the year, then throw them in a drawer until I make them into cards or ornaments in November. Once I check my lists, I usually find a few more I should be getting ready to send. . . .

So the ornament is for me (!), the skaters are from the same set of Victorian designs that someone here sent me last year (Thanks - sorry I don't remember who), and the two carousel designs are not really Christmasy, but they were in a Christmas magazine, so what do I know!? Since they're for two teenage brothers, they'll probably appreciate them more than Santas anyway.

Hi
I got the design for the toboggan from World of Cross Stitcher issue 156--it has loads of blackwork small designs in that issue--think it was from fall of 2009--hope this helps.

I have an older brother that I thought I hadn't stitched any thing for him like I've done for the rest of my family. I've been scrambling to find and work on a good gift so I can give it to him this year, but I was afraid I wasn't going to have enough time. But then I was at my sister's house for Thanksgiving when she got out her xmas decorations to put up. There was a cross stitch picture that said "JOY" that looked vaguely familiar. After I looked at it for awhile I realized I did it for her many, many years ago. I also remember that I stitched up a smiliar one that said "NOEL" at the same time and that I must have given it to him. That means everyone in my immediate family (2 parents, 4 siblings plus a niece and nephew) all have a cross stitch project from me. Which also means I don't have to kill myself trying to get this other project done for him this year. YEAH!!!!
current project rotation:

The Accolade
Faces of Faery 89
