I have managed to find some dried lavender buds on ebay for £1.50 with free postage. There should be enough in the bag to fill the biscornu so as soon as they arrive I will be able to complete it. I just need to get hold of a bit of purple ribbon to make a loop to hang it up. Hopefully I will be able to post a final picture before too long.

Those of you who were here last year may remember this thread! In the New Year I bought lavender buds to finish the biscornu, but then with the stress of my much-hated job, quitting, getting ready to move and so on and I never finished it and when I'd got moved, somehow it got packed away and forgotten.

Today I was hunting through my cupboard for some ribbon and what should I find, but the half-finished biscornu, complete with a pair of buttons I'd bought for it, so I decided to finish it this afternoon. All I had to do was stitch it together, stuff the lavender in and add ribbon and buttons. I didn't cram it too full of stuffing, I thought it would be better as a flatter shape to hang in between clothes. Here are a couple of finished pictures - 11 months after the start!

Definitely worth the wait, it's beautiful -- the buttons are just right and what a good idea to have a flatter shape so it fits more easily between the clothes!

Thanks, everyone. I have decided to give it to my Mum for Christmas in the end, as she loves my stitched gifts and likes lavender smellies, so it will be another extra little gift for her.
