Thanks, everyone! Sorry I haven't been around for a while - been too achey to sit at the computer for long, so I've been avoiding it - which pleases my son, cos it means he can use it!

Anyway, have now completed 4 pages, with little inroads into pages alongside where the chart overlap comes.
Those bright dark areas are where the chart says to use a dark navy. Which I have bee doing, but I'm not all that happy with it cos it looks like holes in the pic. Not too bad at a distance, but up close ... hmm... Anyway, I've decided not to use the navy as much as the chart says, and have unearthed from my stash a darker grey than anything on the chart, and it seems to fill the bill ok in the only place I have used it so far, which is at the back of the heel, above the navy bits I did stitch there. I think it looks right - what do you think? I'd like to modify the bits I've done on his claws, too, but the back is so tangled with all the confetti stitches that I'm scared of ruining the whole thing!

Hope you all had a good Christmas and New Year!

It is coming along just beautifully great job :applesauce: :applesauce: as for the navy under his claws it don't look bad to me I'd just leave it and keep going if it was me but thats just my opinion hope it helps. good luck with the rest :D

Your stitching is really coming along great! I like your idea of using grey instead of navy under the talons. To me it does look better that way! Keep up the great work!

The modification of colors went well, because I think it's looking great! I think grey was a good way to go.

He is just so incredibly stunning!

I like the dark grey you've chosen, it does look better; I wouldn't worry about unpicking all the navy though, it doesn't look quite as good as the grey but it certainly doesn't look bad, and unpicking might damage the piece if it is all so entangled, and you wouldn't want that to happen!!!!

I think the little bit of navy enhances the outline of your dragon and the grey you have chosen will work really well for the other places. This is a great project :applesauce:
