Here's my try at the first design In Mary Hickmott's "Easing into Hardanger"
I was so into it, that I took it with me to the bus stop when I was waiting for the eldest to come home. Nearly froze my fingers off! 
I see one minor mistake in the lower left.. but other than that I'm pretty proud of myself.

It isn't intrinsically difficult in the stitching, but the counting -- an important skill to learn with hardanger -- is what makes it tricky. In hardanger, odd numbers rule! And Mary Hickmott's pamphlets are easily the best starting place I've come across. (Yes! There's another one: Moving On in Hardanger. Just so you know.)
