22 Count Black Aida
Does anyone know of a shop(online) that sells this or something VERY comparable. I cannot find it at my local craft stores but I do know that it exists because I've gotten it before a shop called the Stitching Post in a town a few miles from here. i just don't want to travel back and forth..would rather buy it by the yard.

I have found 22ct aida very hard to find -- most of what is advertised as such is in fact 22ct hardanger (the softer stuff). If that is what you are after, then Tandem Cottage sell it for £13.25 per meter here; fat quarters are also available.
Hope this helps!
Edit:
They are UK based, so not sure what postage to the US would be, but I know their postage in the UK is very reasonable indeed at a maximum of 95p per order, so it may be worth asking.

Thanks Mabel and Rose,
I've gone through the sites and I can't seem to find any 22 count aida but I have found 22 count hardanger. Is that pretty close to the same thing?

I believe that hardanger and aida are extremely similar, both being the same weave type.

Hi Jess,
Hardanger fabric is practically the same as 22ct aida, except that it is softer; aida is quite stiff, hardanger feels more like evenweave fabric in that respect, but the weave looks exactly like the 22ct aida.

Re: 22 Count Black Aida
thanks everyone...now I do understand. The little shop was actually selling me hardanger fabric anyways, so now since I know that it is hardanger I can search online and buy it. Again, thanks for everyone's help.
