In the winter or whenever the weather is bad, I usually stitch anywhere from 2 - 4 hours per night M - Th and 6 or 7 hours Fri, Sat and Sun unless we've got something else going on on the weekend. In the nice weather, not as much as I spend more time outside working around the place or playing with my horses and dogs... :)

As much as I can is the best answer I can give you as everyday is different. It all depends on how much time I have to look for parts or send out invoices or make up Orders to send out. Since we are self employed everyday is an adventure and I take what time I can to stitch and it varies everyday.

I try to stitch 1-2 hrs at night when I get home from work. On the weekends I try to do as much as I can this can be anywhere from 2-6 hrs and sometimes more. It also depends on the weather right now were are in the dead of winter so it's cold and snowy and there isn't much to do here. When the weather breaks my stitching time goes down.

In have a 3 year old and a 4 month old daughter, so I don't get to stitch too much these days. I probably get in 4 hours a week. I wish I could get 4 hours each night, but that never happens! As they get older I am sure I will get more time, but I don't want to rush them into growing up!

If I had my way it would be all day everyday but I don't get my way.
I try and do a couple of hours a night during the week and during the weekends a lot more. It depends upon how much uni work I have and other stuff. I am one of those stitchers that loses the bug and might not pick any up for a few months. Then I suddenly get the bug again and I wonder why I ever stopped.

I tend to have trends and for a few weeks I can be into knitting, crochet, embroidery but I always get back to cross stitch :D

Kins as long as you are enjoying the stitching don't worry to much about the speed, it is just for fun and we are all at different degrees of speed. I love to read but I am very slow at it, doesn't mean I don't get the same enjoyment out of it it just lasts longer!!!!! :D

I usually manage 2-4 hours a week. When I was doing my mums Christmas present I was doing 2 hours solid every night, but now I do 2 evening courses instead of 1 and use Friday nights to do food shopping so that leaves 2 nights a week and weekends. Plus I commute 1.5 hours each way (and no I'm not stitching on the train!) which cuts into my day.

I usually get an hour - an hour and a half first thing in the morning, then about 4 hours in the evening on week days. On weekends it depends what else I'm doing, but usually I get a minimum of 6 hours on each day. Yesterday I had nothing else to do so I stitched for around 12 hours! My fingers are tired this morning.

I know exactly how you feel. I only discovered cross-stitch after wrecking my back so apart from cooking and having to get up constantly to move about a bit, I stitch all day.

:thinks: I would love to be able to go out to work - but then I couldn't stitch so much. Health and wealth ... or cross-stitch. :ratherbe:

I usually stitch 1 - 2 hours a night after work M - F, and I get about 8 hours each weekend day, as long as I don't have other plans. I wish I could stitch more though!!!

I usually get about 30 minutes in the morning before getting ready for work. Then another 30 minutes at night before bed. On the weekends its about 3-4 hours each day, depending on how motivated I am. There was a piece I made that had a deadline and I swear all my time was spent stitching. By the end of it I realized I was missing the enjoyment, and cut back.

I am about an hour a day 3 day a week, and maybe 4-6 hours total on the weekend. Some weeks more, some weeks none at all.
I really thought I would finish The Nest this weekend.. but I only got in maybe 2 hours stitching time all weekend.. most of it was during the Golden Globes last night. I thought I would be done with this by now. I am ready to get started on my next project!

I usually stitch 1-2 hours a day, 6 hours on the weekend, of course that all depends on the what's going on during the week! I could stitch much more if I had the time.

It probably averages out at an hour on weekday evenings, possibly more on a friday. 2-3 on a saturday and 4-6 on a nice lazy sunday when the house is clean and the food shopping is done!

I would like to do more in the evenings but sometimes after being on a computer all day at work, going home and cooking my husband dinner, i have tired eyes and end up falling asleep on the sofa. I bought myself a kindle before christmas and have already read 5 books so sometimes i alternate reading and stitching and then feel guilty for neglecting the other one!

I usually stitch sitting on the sofa with my husband watching tv. Sometimes i take a length of thread to bed and finish that before going to sleep.

On a good day, 3 or 4 hours. Generally an hour or two if I am lucky. As I am enjoying my stitching so much right now, I love the rare day when I have nothing that really needs my attention, so I can just stitch to my heart's content! lol

I'm unemployed at the moment so I can stitch as much as I want. I'd say I average about 5 hours a day, used to be more but I need to get back to my writing and that's another 5 hours.

I try to get in 1 hour a day m-f (but it usually ends up happening only 2 or 3 nights because I end up working late). Saturdays, usually about 4 hours, and Sundays are great - usually 8 hours because I stitch while bf and I watch football all day. Of course, football is dwindling, so I hope I still get my Sunday stitching time!
