Butterfly Notes *start date 1/19/11*

Hello,

I'm back again after a long break *unwanted* from CSing. I was working on a very cute dog & cat friends CS located in my WIP in my siggy the last time I was here in S.A.L. Well, funny thing about life, you think someone is a true friend and then they no longer have a use for you and you're old news. So, until I find the friend that fits the meaning of that piece I have put it on hold as it makes me too sad.
Instead I'm going to start the new year fresh with this simple Notes dry erase fridge magnet my DH got me at a thrift store for a buck.
It will be the first CS I've made for me I love the colors!

Now that's what I call excited to get back into stitching!! It's the same time here as I'm also in Florida, but I'm about too tired to do much of anything other than type right now --hope you have a great time stiching

Today was rough! Husband had a terrible fever. Tried to get kids to bed early, failed. Toddler fell asleep, 7 yr old couldn't. Then 7 y/o finally fell asleep and toddler was up, of course the baby was being needy the whole time. Then the weather started getting rough, thought we were getting a tornado but just windy and rainy. Our car drivers side window broke today and was down a few inches. Rain in the car. Had to go out in it to fill the gap in the window and dry the inside of the car. Cat was whineing, wants more food. But she's so fat. Finally everyone is asleep so I'm gonna cross-stitich dangit! Phew!

Definitely sounds like a full day to me! I do hope you are able to unwind some and enjoy your stitching!

That is a genius idea!!!!!! I love the idea of a stitched dry erase notepad.. I hope you don't mind if I ever steal your idea one day They would make great gifts I think...

Hey ladies!

It felt so good to stitch again last night! I HAVE dabbled with the 'A friend knows' one from time to time and did finish all of the dog but I kept obsessing over who to give it to and right now I'm being led to wait and pick it back up in the future.

Anywho- Yes today is better so far. Hubs had to go to work with a slight fever and I pray that he is able to get through the day ok. He went in bc he's out of sick time. We moved this yr and had a lot of well-water issues so he kept taking off for things related to that. Oh yea, AND we had a baby

Faith- It's not MY idea to steal LOL, hubs found it at a thrift store in a kit for $1. The dry erase marker it came with is dried up but I have some fine point expo markers. I'd LOVE to see what you come up with for that idea though!

I did get a tiny corner of the butterfly wing down in the upper left hand corner and after I get some chores and the like accomplished today I am going to make at least a few mins to work on it and go ahead and post a pic of my start as meager as it's going to be

Thanks Yes that's exactly what it is. It's just the same kind of thick plastic cover you put photo's in for the fridge. They used to sell them a lot at drug store photo labs (I used to work at photo labs). I just went on a 30 min hunt for a dry erase marker so I could try it out and of course I can't find one But, I'll ask my mom to bring one from her job when she comes over today and then I'll update
