I may have lost it but I dream it

Post by Corey.G »

The strangest thing happened last night. I haven't had the wanting to stitch for a few weeks now and hoping it comes back soon. But last night I had a dream that I had bought threads for a kit and I always use DMC, so I bought DMC threads in my dreams and some others that looked nice. I got home and realized that half of the threads I bought were Madeira! I was annoyed cause I had to go back (five hour drive) and get the right threads. How very odd.

I do hope my stitching bug comes back soon.

I had a dream like that 2 weeks ago. I had to find the right kind of blue fabric for my Mario sampler and I went to a store that was all fabrics and they had beautiful colours, all kinds, except what I needed. Frustrating..

Hope you get interested in stitching again. Perhaps you need the right project, something colourful after those polar bears. :D

Is the stitchy store really five hours away, or did you just dream it that way?

If it really is that far, I'm  for you

What a great dream! At least it shows you're thinking about stitching. ;)

Is there maybe something small that you would really like to do or try that might just kick start things for you again.
I haven't picked up my needle hardly at all last year and I couldn't face my WIP's when I came back, but doing a couple of small, fun things is really getting me itching to get back to them.
Maybe that sort of thing could help you?

Unfortunately it is actually a five hour drive away for the nearest stitchy store. So I have to stock up when I'm there.

Good news though is I found my project I want to do. I'm still not finished those *@!$?&# polar bears. But I'm finishing gridding some 28 Ct onto t-shirt material to turn into a pillow. I have had this pattern since the first satin threads came out in the UK and just this summer the craft store finally got the satin threads in. After a long time I finally have all the stuff. It's a heart and the bottom of the heart is on the right.

I wish that was my pillow. It's just a pic of the finished project from the magazine. I'm doing it on black. :D and no it's not officially back yet. I've got a new game that's occupying everything and I'm back into my woodworking a bit. :)
