I'm still waiting for my Caron threads to arrive for my attempt at Mabel's lovely Hardanger design, so I've started on carladee's Mario sampler. I'm stitching it up on 32 count ice blue lugana. Here's my progress so far

this one is so much fun to stitch!!

I've just started this design as well, but you're further ahead than me.

Great fabric! I wish my LNS had that (or I had the patience to order). I'm hoping to finish over the next few days. Yours looks great!

Love the Snowman and Reindeer, you are ahead for next Christmas, well done.

Your latest stitching it so colourful and cheerful - a great start and such neat stitching too. Good luck with the hardanger too

I only have Michael's and JoAnn's locally here, so I end up ordering off of either ebay or 123stitch.com--both of which usually take only 3-5 days to get.
Hope you manage to get it finished soon.

Love Mario! I was born in the 80s, so it represents my childhood. :D Nice work!

The snowman design is adorable, well done on completing! Love the Mario sampler - what a fun project. Reminds me of when Mario first came out on Nintendo, must have been about 20 years ago. I was rubbish at it and my 3 year old nephew beat me every time, hahaha!

Lisa it's in the charts we have the copyright to. Carla made it and says she will email anyone who wants it a copy.
I'm working on this at the moment too and this could be just the thing to keep you going while you wait for the fairy!

I guess I have not been paying attention to where this chart came from, that is my fault. But I have to ask if the proper permission was obtained before this chart was shared. Mario is a copyright protected brand name. If the proper permission was not recieved then I would ask that this not be shared on our site. I don't want to be a pain but this is a topic that we have to be careful with. Copyright rules apply to everything not just charts so we must be diligent about proper permissions and sharing.

Oh gosh Rose, I never even thought of imagery like Mario being copyright if it was your own 'drawing/art work' rather than a picture of the character.
Copyright is so clear cut in some areas and more difficult in others.

Finished my Mario sampler--made a few changes to the clouds and made it just a wee bit wider, nothing really noticeable. Here's what it looks like

Image

And I stitched up a small design using one of the pretty Carrie hand dyed threads, this is using Mardi Gras

I really do love using these threads!!
