When I was working on View from the Window by Janlynn, I sustituted DMC colors for the ones that came in the kit, and I noticed that the DMC colors were darker than the kit ones. I agree that it's hard to know what to do, but I'm sure it will all work out alright whatever you decide to do.

I like how they added the border to the side. Gives the design a nice touch of color

For some reason the finished product picture won't load for me, so I can't see how it's going to turn out, but you've made a great start on yours anyhow!

Been working on getting colours darkest to lightest done first - anyone else attempt to do that method? I've just had bad experiences in the past with dark colours screwing up light ones in one way or another if I do them after light ones. :(

So now if I can, I attempt to do all dark colours, then the light ones...

White is definitely last, at any rate! It'd take over pretty much the entirety of the actual headshot. White on white? Not going to be fun at all! :|

I like the borders myself. :)

Definite nice touch to that entire series of designs. (I think Tiff's doing the tiger one)

I'm just missing the elephant, now... :( Just that it's so rare that I doubt I'll ever obtain it... /collector ocd (All of those are also NIP... I have either the pattern from a previous purchase or another copy for most of them except the panda and koala... I want a second one of those two. x_x I'm odd, I know.)

He's coming along great! :applesauce: I tend to stitch from light to dark to avoid dark fibers discoloring the light ones.
