Looking for a quilt cross stitch kit

Post by institches »

Hi, have been looking for a quilt cross stitch kit like one I had made in 1989. Purchased it in Gettysburg, PA. It was a mini sized quilt that came with a clothesline frame and 2 mini sized clothespins to display it. Had a basket pattern, and was done on Aida cloth-probably 14 or 18 count. Have searched high and low to no avail. Have no idea as to the name of the store where I purchased this kit, only a vague memory of it being a "country" kind of store. Thanks :D in advance for your help.

I'm sorry I can't help but I'd be interested to find out too because it sounds great.

It was a really great kit. I had fun stitching then putting it together. I don't know what happened to it. Ugh. Hopefully I can get another one :D

This made me think of Cross Country Stitching, also home of Jeremiah Junction. They are based in PA. Here is an example of their quilt patterns for cross-stitch:

Plus, they have hangers and stuff for them at their own website. Wire hangers here. Wood hangers here.

This is likely not what you had stitched before, but maybe what you're looking for?

Thank you Alice, Rose, and tiff for the links you all posted. Appreciate it :applesauce:
Checked them out, had some great things. Not giving up on the search, though :D
The mini quilt I did had just a basic, simple pattern. The quilt, when finished, and displayed on the clothesline frame, measured about 4"x6" or 5"x7" total, small enough to display on a handmade wooden shelf one of my cousin had crafted. Back to the search!

Thanks again, and hopefully some day, through some weird combination of words, strategy, or stroke of luck, I will find it!

Getting closer! Thanks again for posting the links :applesauce:

The two quilts on display -so to speak-on the bottom left on the cover are what I am looking for--especially the clothesline rack to display. Will continue the quest :D

Hoping I can find that cute little clothesline rack, and mini clothespin :D

BTW--I do like the patterns you all posted links too,-especially the Jeremiah Junction/Bible themed ones-perfect for my inspirational theme- so, thanks again! I very appreciate you all finding them for me :applesauce:
