Mermaid Project New Pictures 6-7-2011

Post by Rose »

This is not a pattern that I choose. A friend of mine bought this and asked me to help her with it. After alot of talking she decided she couldn't do it. I was going to be too hard. I love her but sometimes she makes me want to scream. After all the time I took to get the right fabric and threads and whatever I can't just let it set. I just ordered the beads and stuff for it from 123 Stitch. It was so weird it was cheaper to buy from them then to buy direct from the Mill Hill Site. :thinks: So anyway I started yesterday after I got Timmy finished.

This is the one http://www.mirabilia.com/images/md85" target="_blank
This is my start

This is going to be lovely Rose!
Is it actually for her? Or has she given it to you now?

Either way it's a lovely design and I can't wait to see it grow.

I am making it up for her and she is going to give it to one of her daughters. This is not a pattern that I would have picked so it would have been better if I could have talked her into doing it herself. But I know I would have ended up with it in the end. She is sweet but she is also a bit scatter-brained.

I think it's really pretty! I would have been pretty annoyed too. It shows you're a great friend to be putting the effort into a design you don't really like for her

Pretty project, Rose, even if it's not your choice. Which fabric did you choose for it?

Sorry to hear that you got lumbered with this design, but it shows what a wonderful friend you are, maybe she was complimenting your stitching ability if it was too hard for her lol :) anyway you've made lovely progress and i hope your friend appreciates your hard work

It's so kind of you to do it for her Rose, I'm sure both her and her daughter will be impressed with it.
