I may end up splitting the pandas up--making it up into a couple of projects--why oh why do I always find ways to adapt things  I do have a good friend and a sister in law that love pandas so this is really going to be fun to do. As for being a serial starter, no help for you on that--I tend to just keep stitching, usually do one then when that's finished go to my next project. Thanks again

Unfortunately for me, my tendency to flitter about attention-wise transfers over to stitching as well. :/ I just get bored of stuff easily and have to go onto something else... whether it's cross stitching projects or general hobbies (ie. video games, drawing, writing, cross-stitching) :anotherfrog:

The polar bear is coming on great. :applesauce: :applesauce:
I love the panda's and can't wait to see Karen's updates on them now. :wip:

As for serial starting, let's be honest, with all these lovely projects it's hard to resist.
I think if you really want to stop yourself though, you'd have to set yourself certain goals and stick to them before allowing yourself to start the next.

The pandas look very promising, interesting to see what Karen will do with them!

As a fellow-serial-starter, with a few large projects languishing in a drawer, why not stick to small projects that will be finished before you get bored with them :-)? Works for me...

The pandas are so cute; looking forward to seeing Karen's work on them! I used to be like Karen and work on one project till I finished before moving on to the next. That's when I just stuck to not buying the next project till the WIP was nearly done. Now I've got so many in various stages of completion, and keep buying more. But it's fun and I love it. :)

Lucky you could find someone willing to take on your pandas..

Not much help in serial starting from me, since this challenge I find I like skipping around to do different projects!

I can't wait to see karen's progress on the pandas myself!

Anyways... worked on Seasonal Welcome for the first time in a while (again). Got the autumn/fall part done except for the backstitching.

I had the plan to finish each seasonal section including the backstitch before moving on to the other parts, but... I am REALLY hating the backstitching atm. :?

(I complain a lot, don't I? :p)

It's looking good! :applesauce: :applesauce:
I think if you're hating the backstitch now, I'd try and force myself to do each part like you planned, or you might just put it aside at the end because you can't face it all.

I agree -- voice of experience, I've done that myself :-( and this is far to pretty to become a UFO!

Very pretty design! I know exactly how backstitching can put our projects on hold! :)

You can do it!! That pattern does seem to need the backstitch to bring out all the details. Summer looks fabulous and I can see the difference it's making in autumn as well. Good luck! :applesauce:

Seasonal Welcome was originally more of an UFO... I think the reason it became that is that after I finished summer, I was so upset at the backstitch! So if anything, I'll get autumn done and then be like, "ugh, I hate you design!" and toss it aside like a petulant child. :P

Thanks.

I actually worked quite a bit on winter last night as well, but wanted to get all the xstitching done before taking any pictures... just a bit more of a tree to go, and then all that's left for that is the halfstitches and (sigh) backstitching.

We'll see if I get that finished .. I'm sure I could do so by today if I really felt like it. Feeling like it, on the other hand, is another tale altogether.

Regardless of what happens, I doubt I'll work on spring anytime soon... even though that is my favourite part of the whole design, since it looks the prettiest.
