JoAnns floss sale

This may only apply to US people, but just wanted to let you know JoAnns is having a 30% sale on floss. It's online as well, so maybe they ship to Canada and the UK? Anyways, here's a link to the floss sale. It started yesterday and will be on 'til Monday, February 21st.

I was in the store last week to purchase an ott lamp for the 50% off sale. I have been looking at the floor, magnifier, combo for awhile so I knew the price. Was all prepared to bring one home for $99. The price was now $269.00 making it $134.50. I thought this type of practice was illegal. Asked the sales person and they just look at you like you were a space alien! Needless to say I did not purchase a light there. The 30% off is great if you buy your floss in the store only. $0.39 in store/$0.69 on line. Sorry to say I have noticed this alot in numerous stores lately. Anyone else notice?

I'm not sure about the lights as I've never checked that. As far as the floss goes that's always been the difference, it's cheaper in store. My big attraction to the sale is the floss packs, which as far as I'm aware have always been the same price in store. I don't really shop online there, so I can't speak to that. Good point though to be watchful of that kind of thing.

and I think floss is 37 cents at my local store.. interesting. and I don't think the floss in store is on sale, I think it's the floss packs only, but I haven't been there yet to check.

Thanks for the heads up. Most of the stitching fabric is also on sale--at least on the website. I got some fabric and some DMC floss color variations floss packs. They were a good deal. My experience has been that the in-store price on the floss packs has been the same as the online price. They're usually $17.99. Now they're $12-something with the sale. Not too shabby.

well not the sale itself, just the idea the price for the ppl who live in the States it is way cheap, I used to go for somer camps when I was in Scouting to the US and everytime I was buying a many and many of them like 300 or so, because the price here in Mexico was like 60 cents, I was buying them for 20 cents in Walmart, but since I am living in The Netherlands the price is 1,60 euro per floss

no kidding! I have 6 HAED designs in my cart, not all large charts, but still 6!! I must be crazy

I narrowed mine down to 4 charts....but now I have $50 worth of stuff in my cart at Joann's! ugggghhhh

Just an FYI.. JoAnn's always has their kits on sale online for 30-40% off. Floss and fabric does go on sale from time to time, but not really all that often. So if your cart is full of kits.. don't feel that pressure to purchase because the "sale" price is really their normal price. Same with OTT lights online.. they are on sale every other week, usually 50% off. In store is different, but the "sale price" is their standard online price.
