DMC Perle 5 packaged as Perle 3

Post by Mystonique »

Just giving everyone a heads up my tapestry teacher ordered a box of Perle 3 cotton from DMC recently and got a box that said Perle 3 on the box and the skein labels but it was definitely Perle 5 cotton in there. She's let DMC know.

This could be really torturous for a beginner given that the 5 is so much thicker than the 3

That's good to know!

It won't be too bad as #5 is actually thinner than #3, so they'll just have not quite so good coverage :-)

I'm hopeless remembering which perle is which until I look at it =} - which is more hopeless because it's one of my preferred thread types.
