Cushion cover or pillow cover

Post by Kute Kitty »

I've got a finish that I'm thinking of possibly making in to a cushion cover or pillow cover - does anyone have a how-to guide? I'd need to be able to take it off the cushion pad or pillow, as it's a gift for a little boy and I am reliably informed that little boys tend to be messy creatures so his mother would need to be able to wash it as needed! Should I back the stitching with something (interfacing maybe?) before making it in to a pillow case, to protect it when the pillow or cushion pad was taken in and out of it, or would it be OK as it is? Any help very gratefully received :)
