That's a lovely design and it's going to be fun watching it grow colour by colour.

Yeah, I might not risk it on a project this size if I was stitching full speed but being so slow gives me time to double count. Actually, I did make one small mistake but noticed it before I was done with the string so it was easy to fix, only 4 stitches to frog. I did the first green gridded and accidentally counted off the vertical backstitch line on the chart instead of the grid line  It's all long and straight and the real grid line was all broken up with backstitching over it and I just missed it. I'm actually thinking of putting those lines back in, instead of gridding it just putting fishing line in for those backstitch lines and then maybe at the page break, to stop me having to remember which leaves are on which side. I refuse to stop at edge of page lines because I always imagine I can see the line later but it would be nice to know where it is when I pass it back and forth.

Next color didn't have many stitches at all.

I don't think I'd dare to grid with a pen. I'd be too worried I'd be able to see the lines forever, even if they were really gone. I used very light fishing line in fluorescent yellow. It came out of the fabric nice and smooth with no hint that it was ever there. I just noticed that I wasn't really using the grid lines anyway, so I took them out.

Well, I decided to try the pen after seeing so many members use one, plus I thought it would make things easier. I find I still count though, so not sure how much easier it is for me. It does come out well. The first piece I tried to grid was a bookmark, and I couldn't see any marks after.

This is a great design :) You made a good progress on it :) I wouldn't be able to stitch the single color because I would mistake the count (I'm tried and I failed), at least without guiding lines on the fabric ;)

Yeah, my wrists are in horrible shape lately. I've actually had to change how i hold the needle and stuff. It's making me love my floor stand even more than I did before. Not having to hold the qsnap is wonderful.

I managed to get some sun this morning!

What a pretty piece and I LOVE the butterfly you did as well!

I'm like Mabel, I like to stitch by colour, but I don't think I'd attempt it when it's so far apart either! Good on you!!

You're making a wonderful job of it.

Umm, so I made a little mistake. My counting is fine but I got caught up stitching today and screwed up my by-the-color thing a little by doing some groups of little flowers that had more than one color... Stupid stitching zone, making me forget to take pictures... So here you go, and I promise I'm going right back to the single color thing!

Last of the greens:

Little blue and yellow flowers:

Now, right back to doing things one color at a time.

this looks great don't know if I could do the single colour thing as get bored easily, so colour changes are better for me, but you are doing so well with this :applesauce:
