Handy letter stitching tool

Post by mlewis »

Hi everyone,

I am planning a card i want to stitch for my new niece due in June and wanted a simple idea.
I have decided to use pink varigated thread and stitch the whole background, leaving the text 'Baby Girl' blank. I may fill it in or back stitch round the outline at a later stage but i won't know until i get the background done.

Whilst looking for alphabet styles that i could use, i found this cross stitch text tool
http://www.stitchpoint.com/eng/tool/alp ... g-tool.php" target="_blank" target="_blank

You can choose a font and then write whatever you need and print out a chart for it. There is a couple of backstitch choices as well.

I haven't stitched it yet but will probably make a start on it tonight.

It looks really handy, hope it is useful for someone :)

- thanks to skitzzzzz for making me a chart :-)

Thank you! I think I have seen it once but didn't save it. Now I have done it! :)

Thank you!! I usually sit with my graph paper trying to centre things - that is brilliant! :applesauce: :applesauce:
