I am sitting here waiting for my postman today - why must he be late when i know something is coming??? It is not TOO exciting, but it is more needles and a case and a bookmark aida to for my MIL. Now I just need to figure out what I want to stitch for her. She is obsessed with bridge, so I am think a card-themed bookmark. But i have no ideas....

Well, a lot of bridge has to do with which suits are more powerful. I believe spades is the best suit to have, and you'd want to have lots of high cards so your trump is good. What about sort of a sideways bookmark that shows some of the best cards to have? Or I found a couple quotes online "Bridge is a great comfort in your old age. It also helps you get there faster. " OR "There are three kinds of bridge players:(1) Those who can count, and (2) those who can't." Just google "bridge card game quotes" if you want more results. :)

Got a lovely package from my mum yesterday. Nice warm slippers! She made one for me, hubby, MIL, FIL, SIL and BIL, they have all fallen in love with her knitting as well :)

I picked the left most green ones and hubby picked the dark blue with red edge.

Oh they're brilliant!!!
Pink for me please, but if you could mention that next time, I really prefer purple shades I'd be grateful! ;)

Received charts form Pinguxxx this morning!! The Spitfire and an absolutely fantastic army styled alphabet - which is so perfect for my 8 year old, army mad nephew!! I can't wait to play around with all the letters and stitch up some cards and things for him!! :D Thank you!!!

Well the Mr. Postman didn't bring these to me but they are my latest projects I have kitted and are awaiting to start on. It looks as though I was ready for some blingy, beady beauties to work on.

Norah Corbett's Santa's Sleigh
Will be stitching this on 32 ct Twilight Blue linen. There are 2 more metallics I have ordered, both red's for the ribbons.
Image

Joan Elliot's Noel
Its charted for navy aida but switched it to black. I think the beads and gold metallic will show up better against black.
