OK, here we go, people - the first three numbers are:

9. Inverness
Regarded as the capital of the highlands of Scotland. Lies near the site of the Battle of Culloden.

19. Stonehaven
Lies south of Aberdeen on the east coast. At Hogmanay each year, there is a fireball parade through the town centre which is quite a spectacle!

27. Haggis
Scotland’s national dish. Made by stuffing a sheep’s stomach with minced pluck (heart, liver and lungs of sheep), onion, oatmeal, suet, spices and salt mixed with stock. Personally, I believe the haggis as a foodstuff was based on a dare…

2. Buckhaven
Small town on the east coast of Fife. Has a fabulous little theatre where I’ve performed several shows. I really love this town.

30. Skirlie
Oatmeal stuffing traditionally served with chicken.

36. Irn Bru
Made in Scotland from girders! Noxious orange fizzy drink. Very sweet. I can’t stand the stuff, but apparently if you leave it to go flat overnight, it’s a very effective hangover cure. Possibly because its taste makes you gag so much you forget how bad the hangover is making you feel!

21. Udny
Udny Station is a small village in Aberdeenshire. Also Udny Green, an even smaller hamlet.

Thick, hearty soup made of smoked haddock, potatoes and onions
