I do love my setup! It took me years to get it just right but now I don't think I could stitch without it. I am still looking for that "perfect" light because my old eyes are just getting older...I have found a daylight lamp that I really like now just trying to justify the cost. Plus I did a search on this forum and read that some had an issue with fading using a daylight lamp. Decisions, decisions.
The hands are Santa's and I am REALLY looking forward to completing him but I am forcing myself to do one page at a time and in order so his face is a couple of months away although the page I am stitching now does have a little of his beard on it. I am such a hand person and looking at his hands remind me a lot of my dad's hands so it has a little special meaning.
I am a workout aholic but I'm taking 6 weeks off of the gym to give my body a little time to heal so I seem to have a lot of extra stitching time these days. I am looking forward to the next few pages because they are mostly Santa's shirt so it is a lot of the same colors instead of all the little confetti stitches. It goes so quickly when you can just load up a few needles and stitch away! Hopefully I will have another update soon!
That's looking really lovely! All the detail and colour is going a long way in making it look like a beautiful painting... I get warm just looking at that glowing fire!
Amazing. I love it. You have done an awesome job. I am so glad you posted the update as I hadn't seen this one before.

I absolutely cannot imagine this kind of commitment to this large and complicated pattern! I think I would have given up months ago, just from the shear magnitude of the thing!
How great your stitching is and your persistence in getting this thing to this completion. The piece is quite amazing and looks fantastic, I'm so jealous! I feel so unworthy!
Thanks for sharing this, can't wait to see the finished piece, the pattern is beautiful!
Are all HAED's like this? (Sigh) I don't think I have it in me to do one then, there are still books to read and clothes to sew!
