Post by karen4bells »

It's been a rough 10 days for me--been totally under the weather with who knows what, mouth infection, sunburn, etc. Went to a couple of drs, March 31st and April 1st and somehow managed to get bad reaction to one of the meds prescribed, so ended up having hives on top of everything. I do seem to be on the mend, fingers crossed, but still can't really stitch as fingers are just too sensitive yet. It's been a great joy coming back here and catching up on so many wonderful topics and wips and I definitely hope to get back to stitching soon--I miss stitching Iris fairy a lot!!

Oh, I hope you are feeling better soon. Its bad enough to not feel well, but I do know how awful hives can be. Glad you are on the mend and pretty soon will be back to stitching. Stitching fairies is so much fun and the Iris Fairy is such a lovely pattern.

:rainbow: better times ahead.

I can imagine the itch of wanting to get back to your Iris Fairy and hope it happens soon for you. You sure have been through the thorns a bit recently and hopefully soon it will be a dim memory.

What a horrible time you have been having.

Hope you feel much better soon and are able to get back to your stitching - and there will be a little something heading your way, from me, in the next few days which I hope will cheer you up. :D

Thanks so much for all the get well wishes!! They seem to have really helped a lot! I tried stitching on Iris Fairy yesterday--but wasn't quite able to handle that, as it's worked on 32 count evenweave over 2. So I tried stitching on the lickle ted design I'd recently started and was able to stitch on that without any problems. That's being worked on a 14 count aida and I made pretty good progress on it yesterday and this morning.
This afternoon, I decided to see if my hands and eyes were up to dealing with the Iris Fairy and was soooooooooo thrilled to be able to actually stitch on it!!  I definitely am glad to be able to stitch again, even if not at quite the normal pace that I stitch. I hope to get enough done on Iris Fairy to post a progress picture of her soon.
I still have hives, but those are healing nicely--as well as a few other lingering problems. I'm going to see the doctor tomorrow morning, and hopefully will get the rest of this cleared up.
Thanks again for all the get well wishes :)
