Postie brought me an envelope of AOY charts from Minij. To say that I am thrilled is an understatement. I have not seen these before, I am totally out of touch with her more recent designs, so this was a lovely surprise. The arrangement was that I might send them on to someone else if necessary but sorry folks I am going to be really selfish and keep them to myself.

Thanks very much Janet.

I think the last picture looks like scissors that I call snips but not sure what the real name is, they are scissors with a cover.

My sister sent me three Just Cross Stitch magazines. May/June and July/August 2009 as well as Jan/Feb 2011. She also included a little chart from Lori Markovic, a designer I'd not come across before. She also wrote a hopeful message on the back... might I do this someday... :D

Yes the last picture is a very nice pair of scissors. They are very nice and I have started to use them already.

Another fantastic package in the mail today. Our Mable surprised me with a present. The most amazing material and beautiful threads. They are just gorgeous and the picture does not bo them justice. I cant wait to find the perfect pattern to put on the blue/green/white fabric. I am thinking one of my snowmen but it will have to be just the right fit.

My package from 123stitch.com arrived this weekend. I love it. Here's what I got:

Pondering Pup
Image
My dog loves to sit and stare out the front window. The kit has black aida but I might switch that to a chocolate brown to match the walls in my front room. And I might have to tweek the dog's colors. But at least the kit is presorted. Gotta love that.

Wedding Anniversary
Image
My parent's will have their 50th anniversary next year. I'm thinking of stitching both images side by side with a space in the middle that says "Then... and now" and their names and wedding date. I'm going to have to play around with the placement because they're not the same size.

Japanese Beauty (for my living room)
Image

Joyous Elves (I just love this pattern)
Image

Crochet (the pattern on the cover reminds me of the Q-Bert screens in the video game so I have to have it, I already know how to crochet)
Image

And because I went to their site to get the images I found more things I just put on my wish list that might make it into my cart before I log off today.
current project rotation:
