Hello Kitty
Hey all, I'm looking to do a Hello Kitty cross stitch or simple embroidery design for my girlfriend. There was a really cute pattern in an old magazine of Cross Stitcher, and unfortunately I have lost that pattern. I'd say it was anytime from now til a year ago that it was out. If anyone has that pattern or any Hello Kitty pattern I'd love to know.

Re: Hello Kitty
If there's something really tiny that you know of let me know. I forgot to mention I'm gonna stitch it onto a hairband or something for my girlfriend. So like 2 inches in height at the most.

Re: Hello Kitty
DMC did a range of Hello Kitty designs called "custom kit" designed to be stitched using waste canvas. they have been discontinued but some shops still have them and sometimes you can pick them up on ebay. I found a shop that still stocks them -

There are lots of designs on ebay, but most are a bit larger than you want.
If you google "hello kitty cross stitch" it brings up a cross stitch game where you make a design, don't know if you could print off one of those!
Also, if you google "Hello Kitty" and look at the google images section, there are a few patterns there.
Can you tell that I had this problem a few months ago when my daughter was desperate for me to stitch her a hello kitty design?!!!!!
The Cross Stitcher magazine that you are after may be issue 194, December 2007, as I bought that one on ebay, but haven't stitched it yet.

Re: Hello Kitty
Yay, hope I can return the favour and help you.
I’ve got a little hello kitty design that I can mail you, but it depends when you need it by, I’m from South Africa, so it’ll take some time to arrive, and the soonest I’ll be able to post it is only Friday or next Monday…
It is 25 stitches tall, so depending on what count cloth you use, it could easily fit 2 inches and will be good for your purpose (14 count cloth = 14 stitches per inch). It a little kitty with three hearts on either side. It’s from Cross Stitcher, issue 208 January 2009 (not sure if it’s the exact one you saw and have in mind)
The page after the design also has a few ideas what you can do with it, small little things, like on a purse, a denim pocket (on jeans for e.g.), on a pencil case, etc. Will mail that too, if you are interested.
Pm me your address if you don’t mind that it’ll only be sent on Friday or next Monday and will take a week or two to arrive.

Re: Hello Kitty
I've just won that magazine on ebay. I wanted it for the Margaret Sherry Puppy Love design, but I guess when my little one sees it, I'll be coerced into stitching Hello Kitty too (I didn't realise that was in there too!)Smiley wrote: It a little kitty with three hearts on either side. Re: Hello Kitty
Lol. Yeah there is a really cute hello kitty with wings. I'm enjoying turning it into something that can be used. All thanks to Smiley.
Re: Hello Kitty
Actually I was thinking about picking this one up again. It's a really small design but my fingers hurt from pushing it through the fabric and padding.cerenaketton wrote:I would love to see a pic of what you done.I'm looking to do a Hello Kitty cross stitch or simple embroidery design for my girlfriend.
