I love the beading, you are doing an amazing job with it even though you are not enjoying it!

Rose I have stitched this as well! I agree although its very pretty, I personally thought that were a few to many beads, esp on the smaller of the two mermaids. But Its worth the effort in the end!

I haven't seen this for awhile and although I'm not really a fantasy person, I think this looks amazing! Maybe it looks more overpowering in real life, but on screen, it looks fabulous Rose. What a great job you are doing. Your friend will be over the moon with it I'm sure.

They look great, but I think I agree with Rose on this occasion (which is funny, because I LOVE beads). There are an awful lot of them and I think it can sometimes make the rest of the stitching look a little flat in comparison, which is a shame, because the stitching is beautiful in itself.

The beading is beautiful, and beautifully done,

but I also agree..there is a lot of it in ratio to the stitching on the mermaids.

This is looking lovely, great progress Rose. I am curious though could it be possible of the fabric colour that is enhancing the beads more? Where as if you went with a darker colour of fabric they should just be an accent to the piece and not overwhelm and be the center of attention. Can not wait to see more and hopefullly the beads will settle into the piece and not be the main vocal point.

I really don't think that the color of the fabric would make the beads any smaller. The beads are too big and there are so many that they just take over the picture and the stitching is lost. Most of the beads are over top the stitching on the mermaids and it hides all of the great work that was so beautifully done to make the picture.

haha sorry Rose my brain was somewhere else and I was thinking you were just talking about the overwhelming the beads are on the project that they take away from the design and become the main focus haha. I get it yea the colour change will not help with the beads shrink

. The progress you are doing is great and is lovely, and the fabric is very pretty as well with all the shimmer.

I think I see what you mean Rose, the gorgeous colours in the stitching are lost with all the bead work. I still think it's great of you to finish this for someone else. And you won't have to look at it anymore either.

That being said, the beading looks very well done.
