Pingu's 'Folky Victoriana' SAL

Post by Pinguxxx »

This is my next project. I've been dying to start it but was wanting to finish my KISS cushion first (I haven't but only I've the cream background to complete now  )

I'm doing this on 14 count Linaida (thank you Rosemary) and it only has 15 colours :D
It is 127 x 127 stitches and I'm sat here debating whether to grid it or not :thinks: I have a pen so no excuses, just laziness

That design is absolutely beautiful. I can understand why you were wanting to get started on it.

Looking forward to watching the progress on it.

What a gorgeous designa and the fabric works well with the colours so I can see why you did not want to use white or cream fabric. The whole effect is so perfect. Really looking forward to seeing this progress.

This project is on my list too! I love the brightness of the blues in contrast to the rose. Can't wait to see the progress on this one!

Update for you …… not had much time to stitch lately, busy at work with year end accounts etc. But have done the centre Rose petals. I need to take a picture in daylight really but I only remember at this time of night when I get it out!

I have finished the centre part of the design, the Rose and leaves. Really enjoying stitching this one, possibly because there's no fractional stitches or backstitching to do  Really love the colour of this fabric too, it's very me if you can say that about cross stitching fabric????
