Great start!! It's funny that you're apologizing for the confetti skitzzzz, don't we need to blame Van Gogh? ;)

Oh no Skitzzzzz, don't apologise for the confetti. That's what will make it look so good when it's all finished :)

I've managed to get quite a bit more done. Well it looks a lot until I move it from under the magnifier

I enjoyed doing that star as I could see it coming together but then I got to a point where all there was left to do in that area was confetti. I needed a break from that so I let myself do that blue area at the bottom which is fewer shades so was much quicker to do. I think I'll carry on filling in one square of confetti at a time, and then rewarding myself with some of the blue as it felt like I'd made a lot of progress and was very encouraging.

Thanks for looking :)

I agree with Carole.. there is so much color in this.. without the confetti the design might lose some of that. Confetti it tough, but it's worth it in this case. Your stitching it looking wonderful Carole! :applesauce:

Looking wonderful!! :applesauce: :applesauce: :applesauce: I think everyone will agree - confetti is a pain, but totally worth it in the end!! The detail is absolutely amazing already!! :D

Looking good! :applesauce: :applesauce:

The main trouble with lots of confetti - apart from stitching it! - is that it makes the back of the work very messy. (Well - it makes the back of my work look messy, anyway  )

Amazing colours! I've finally got my threads and fabric together for this one and hope to start it soon. Seeing your progress will really help to spur me on as this is my first 'big' stitch!

Actually I've been thinking how weird it is to see "my name" signing your posts (spelled with an 'e') :D
And your work is lovely too!

Thanks for the lovely comments and encouragement everyone :)
