Skitzzz kindly did the conversion for me! Started two days ago - finding it hard to work on it in the evening due to the dark colours. Doing it on 18 count rustico aida (Ithought it would be easier on the eyes than white, not so sure about that though!!) 2 over 1.

Well here is more progress - I was a little bemused at some of the colour choices, BUT they really are right!! This is the first photo conversion I've done and its slightly different to normal designs, you're like " why am I sewing blue in a liver chestnut horse" but it works when you look at it later!



you can really see the horse starting to come out, with his ear and the jockey is taking shape!

Lovely Skitzzz has just done another photo conversion for me so there will be a SAL for that soon!

You are right about the colors for conversions you think what??????? And then you step back to look at it or take a picture and it all flows together for a perfect picture.

wow great progress on this one, this is a little more complex than the second conversion one
yesss i see a horse evolving - and yes you do think why is that colour right but when you step back and look it fits
you do sometimes just have to go with the flow - it will come together but sometimes you stich a little and think ? then stitch a bit more - pow - the image is there
thats the fun of cross stitch
i look for ward to seeing the second one
they will both be fabulous

That looks like a fun design to stitch! Your progress is going nicely. I've made a few patterns from photographs for others as well, it's amazing how nicely they turn out.

First page done after just over a week! The Jockey is slow going but it looks great! Now it goes away for a week so I can start another one project.
