good start. and I agree that having fun is the important part. the bonus is getting something beautiful and memorable when it is finished.

Great start! And I must say that it looks like a very efficient way of gridding. I wouldn't have thought to put numbers on the side and letters on the top, probably makes it easier. Great job on gridding too. I don't have the patience for it. lol.

Great job gridding. I think you'll find that will make it a lot easier for counting and not making mistakes. Looks like you've made a good start at stitching too. :D

I have told her I have taken up cross stitching and that I am making something for her. Nothing more than that.

This week isn't going to be very productive because I am preparing to go to work at the embassy in Zimbabwe. But once I am there it is back to living in a hotel so I will have plenty of free time again.
