WORST UPDATER EVER!
Sorry guys, I ended up being away from the internet for a while and when I got back I totally forgot I had started this thread.
KIMONO IS DONE!
I've also done a few other things since.
I ended up changing this one just a little, in the chart her stomach is blue. I made her a little more naked.
and
This one was actually part of a sampler but I don't care for samplers (and this one looked to be mostly huge boring blocks of color), so I just stitched the middle bit.
And now for my current project that I won't be SALing because I'm apparently really bad at updating, the Kinkade Disney Snow White project thing, with bonus second attempt at gridding!
So far it just looks like a pair of angry trees, but I'm enjoying it. I think I have a thing for cabins in the woods. I'm still not sure that gridding is for me. I don't really find myself consulting it but I suppose if it saves me from even one mistake before I'm done, then it was worth it.
TIP FOR GRIDDERS!!!: Measuring is more accurate AND faster than counting. Take a bit of scrap paper, lay it on your fabric, count out one block of ten, mark the paper at each end of the ten block, use that to grid! Or, they probably make special rulers for that... but if your fabric is shrunken or something, as long as it's the same all the way through, the count won't be wrong! And if you're really worried, counting between the lines to double check is still easier than counting it out the first time!
