I got two charts from Liz Almond delivered by my electronic postman. It was a thank you for being nosy. I had noticed that someone was selling her charts on e-bay and as the description said something like printed to order, I didn't think it was legit. Anyway I e-mailed her to let her know, turns out she was the one selling them ;) Anyway as a thank you for letting her know, had there been anything untoward about the listing she gave me two charts of my choice from her website, I settled on

Busy Bees - going to start this one very soon, and think I'll make it into a cushion when it's done

and one of her new ones, Isabella - just loved this one the minute I saw it

And of course I totally love Liz Almond now (not that I didn't before)

I just looked at this thread for the first time and I'm lovin it. All these stash pics are great and help bridge the gap from the order I just made, to when I get it.

I see all the pics of pretty stash and it's so tempting to get another pre-paid credit card for more. Everyone has such nice gifts from postie. I can't wait for mine.

I can't believe I'm getting 18 ct in 18x21" and another piece of the perfect brown for my tiger in 21x36". I have so many plans for that stash. Can't wait. So excited. Sensory overload. *stashgasm*..........*eyes glaze over and look of bliss comes accross thinking of plans for aida and stash*.......

I got my 2008 and 2011 Cross Stitch a Day calendars from Amazon. I also got the first half of an order from 123stitch.com. I got Orient Expressions and Images of Asia booklets and Jewels of the Orient and Twilight Bridge Gold Collection kits (pre-sorted YEAH!). I ordered 4 other items but they're on back order. 123stitch was having a sale on oriental and cottage themed stuff last week and I couldn't resist. (Although I don't think I tired very hard to either.) I also got an R2-D2 bank from Amazon, but that was just for fun. :)

The electronic postman sent me a chart of the Cleveland Indians that I ordered for some of my family for the holidays!

And it wan't the postman, but I helped my mom organize her thread, found what she needed for two projects, and she gave me the rest! I added about 60 colors to my stash!

Yayyyyyy!!!!!

Today I got my wonderful ebay bargain Lowery stand. I've not unpacked it yet, people keep ringing me about work. Honestly, some folk are so inconsiderate!

AND I got my evenweave for the koi project, and my floss for the Koi came yesterday and is already in baggies!

Plus Victorian Red evenweave for the Fremme project when I have time.

I am a very lucky girl!

Congrats on the freebie gift Ceitidh, and keep me updated on how that hoop works. I've seen them in michaels but have been weary to buy them.

I just got a huge box of fabric from ebay. Pretty good steal I think, all for under $25 USD.

Image

It's mostly 14 count, and it's all sitting on 1 yard of 11 count aida. Not sure what to use it all for yet, but seemed like too good to pass up at that price.

I got something VERY fun in the mail yesterday.

Image

My Mark 2 floor stand! I went back and forth on this so much after my first stand didn't work out, but in the end I decided to go for it despite the price, and so far I don't regret it. It's a wonderful stand for someone like me who does mostly very large projects.

I got the adjustable brackets that go with this because I can make my own scroll rods for a fraction of the price of premade ones, and I put them in a split frame system. However, I am becoming tempted to go ahead and buy some premade ones anyway so I don't have to use the clamps. They work well, but I think it would be a little easier to adjust for different sized projects without them.

Also, I use velcro strips on the side of my fabric to help with the tension. I used to use three on each side, but the clamps get in the way, so now I can only fit two which makes the tension not quite as tight as I like it. I will have to be creative and figure out a way to remedy this, or else just get used to the slightly looser tension.

Image

The stand also came with an accessory tray and pattern holder. The pattern holder is a little too far away for me to see the pattern well enough, so I'm just using it to hold my color list. I'm keeping the actual chart on the little table at my side where it used to be.
