Wanted: Halloween charts, ideas, thoughts!
Hi,
Last winter I bought a gorgeous black Christmas tree. I thought I would make a Halloween tree, purple/orange lights....
Annnnnnnnndd, I need some ornament ideas.
Got any favorite easy cat, witch, even words ornament links, charts, photos of something you did already? Spooky, haunted houses, I am interested!
Thank you!
Kim

Mill Hill Beads has some small ornament kits. I've seen a bunch of Christmas ones but I think they have them for Halloween as well.
And I think Lizzie Kate has some small Halloween designs. Or even if she only has a full size chart or sampler, you could always take elements from it and stitch those seperately.
Also try Raise the Roof. They have one called Witchy Wash, part of their clothesline series... again, too big to hang on a tree but you could take elements from it. They also have some funny submersive samplers that might work.
Alessandra Adelaide has a bookmark design which is different sets of eyes on black fabric. You could easily split that apart and make them into a bunch of ornaments. Its either called Eyes.. or whatever the Italian word for Eyes is.

Maggie, My mother in law bought me the following kit. It says the included thread is DMC but I'm pretty sure it's not, it seems low quality. But the little book has 12 designs: a mischievous jack-o-lantern, a black cat sitting on a fence in front of a full moon (done on black aida), a spider, count dracula (black aida), a scared black cat in front of a tombstone, a skeleton w/a spider (black aida), a bat, a ghost (black aida), a haunted house (black aida), frankenstein (black aida), a scary tree, and a witch. The kit comes with 3 pieces of white & 3 pieces of black aida. The designs are very easy & each can be finished in less than a day. I'm using them for Halloween greeting cards so they'd be a great size for ornaments.
