It's been a few weeks since my last update, should really have shown you
Fancy a Jane Day?, but I had a minor catastrophe with coffee spilling on it. Luckily it was on the silhouette of her head so I frogged it and the fabric is fine, but I just can't get in the mood to stitch it up again right now.
I've stitched a few other things though.

This one is still a WiP as I ran out of thread, it a Blackbird design chart from their Trix or Treat Halloween booklet. The floss I used was Pumpkin, one of the new ones I got last week from
Handmade by Nina. There is still the border to do and various little motifs, so I'll be putting in another order once I get paid
The next two are from JBW Designs - French Baby Carriage. Here is the somewhat lengthy story behind them:
In the first week of June my little brother called me and announced he was going to be a dad. It was a little bit of a shock as I still see him as being 10 years old, whereas he is actually 25 years and he and his girlfriend have been together for 5 years now. In any case, my mind immediately when into 'What can I stitch?'-mode. I found this chart, and had a look through my variegated threads to find a suitable one to use. I ended up with Dragonfloss Hugs with Stitches, because of the pinks and blues. They want a boy and when they told my mom they were expecting she immediately said, "Well you know you're having a girl right?" (she is usually right about these things), so I decided to tease them a little by doing both girl and boy colors.

Now, why did I stitch two? Well last week hubby's brother called and he and his wife as expecting as well. So my brother's little one is expected in Jan, and my BIL and SILs little one is expected in Feb, 2012 - the Baby Year!
So I stitched up the same design using different floss, Dragonfloss Generosity, a nice pastel colored variegate. I was going to mount them both on cards but can't find a big enough aperture card. Instead I'm going to try my hand at a flat fold finish. First though I need to find a nice alphabet and stitch Congratulation and Gratulere (which is Congratulations in Norwegian). They are both stitch on the same antique white cashel linen, but the second picture doesn't show the colors well at all.
I love JBW deisgns, there are quite a few others I wanna do
